1) The story of Richmond Schools!
At Richmond Schools, education has always meant more than academic achievement. From the very beginning, the founder. Abdulrahman Al Habeeb, believed that schools should nurture children not only to succeed in exams, but to thrive in life.
“Spoon-feeding limits learning to receiving answers, rather than developing understanding”

Richmond Schools: Our Founders’ Vision
At Richmond Schools, our founders believed that education is not about choosing the “best” system, but about creating the best learning experience for every child. Rather than focusing solely on exams or rankings, they asked a deeper question: How can schools help young people become confident, caring, and capable individuals?
Guided by this belief, Richmond Schools are committed to educating the whole child. Academic excellence is essential, but it is only one part of a meaningful education. Learning is designed to develop students as inquirers, thinkers, and communicators, while nurturing strong values, self-awareness, and a sense of responsibility.
In alignment with IB philosophy, learning at Richmond Schools extends beyond the classroom. Students engage in sports, arts, service learning, leadership opportunities, and real-world experiences that encourage reflection, action, and lifelong learning. These experiences support students in becoming balanced individuals who understand the importance of wellbeing, collaboration, and personal growth.
Our founder placed great importance on character education. Richmond Schools aim to develop learners who are principled, open-minded, and caring, who respect diverse perspectives and contribute positively to their communities. Students are encouraged to lead with empathy, act with integrity, and take responsibility for their learning and their actions.
This vision continues to guide Richmond Schools today: to prepare students not only for academic success, but for a rapidly changing world—empowering them to think critically, act ethically, and make a meaningful difference locally and globally.
- Where the Journey Started? Aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the founder Abdulrahman Al Habeeb is committed to preparing and inspiring future generations by equipping them with the skills, abilities, and opportunities needed to develop effective strategies and become productive, responsible members of a thriving and civilized society.
- 2009 – The Beginning: Al Habeeb Group began its educational journey by opening a kindergarten .in 2014, it followed by the expansion to three additional branches. Building on this growth, the group later developed a strategic plan to expand the acquisition and operation of major educational campuses across Saudi Arabia. This vision led to the ownership of its first educational campus in El-Shuhada neighborhood. followed by the operation of three additional schools.
- 2023 - Al-Munsyiah Campus: as part of a strategic expansion plan, the owner inaugurated the Al-Munsyiah Campus, marking a significant milestone in the school’s ongoing development. The branch was established to provide a comprehensive educational pathway for students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. It offers both bilingual and American programs, carefully designed to meet international standards while respecting local values. In line with the school’s commitment to inclusive education, the Al-Munsyiah Campus also features a dedicated inclusion section, ensuring equitable access to learning and a supportive environment that nurtures the academic and personal growth of all students.
- 2025- Irqah Campus: The Irqah Campus of Richmond Schools represents a flagship educational destination, thoughtfully designed to meet the expectations of today’s globally minded families. Offering a wide range of programs—including the IB programme under Richmond Schools, alongside American and bilingual pathways—the Campus provides a flexible, future-focused education tailored to diverse learner profiles. Supported by a fully integrated inclusion section, the Irqah Campus ensures that every student is valued and empowered to succeed. Mr. Simon Lambert
Development Manager
I am a firm believer in lifelong learning – every day is a learning opportunity. From an early age, my motto has been “aim high” and I look forward to instilling this belief in all the young learners here at Richmond Schools. Excellence does not happen by chance; you must work hard to achieve it. As educators, we must model this behaviour both inside and outside of the classroom. I am looking forward to driving the school forward enabling all students to fulfil their potential.
